Goin’ to the chapel and we’re…

GONNA GET MARRIED!!!

That’s right!  I’m engaged.  Seriously, I can hardly believe it.  After years of saying I would never get married or thinking I would never meet the right guy, it’s happened!

A little bit of background information.  This did not come as a huge surprise to me.  I picked out the ring down to the stone – yes, I realize that may ruin some of the fun; but I can be a bit OCD and particular about things, so it was really better this way.  And we had our trip to Cabo coming up during which we would celebrate our one year anniversary.  I was not sure when he would do it, but I knew it was soon.  So, here’s the story…

We were packing Wednesday night, April 13^th.  I was folding clothes on my bed and he got the ring out the safe.  He was fumbling around a bit and asking what he should do with it.  I was like I don’t know, if you are bringing it, don’t check it, you want to carry it on.  So I’m still packing and he says he doesn’t want to take the outer box and I’m like dude, whatever you want.  And then he turns around and says, “Or I could just ask you now, will you marry me?”  I was seriously taken back and had to ask if he was for real (like 3 times)!  So of course I said YES!  Here is the requisite ring photo…

And no, we don’t have a date yet.  Sometime next year is as good as I can do for now  J
